Winner of the 2024 Opus Klassik New Talent of the Year award, German mezzo soprano Valerie Eickhoff is quickly establishing herself as an artist of intense musicality and brilliant vocalism, in huge demand on the opera stage and in concert.
In the 2025/26 season, Eickhoff makes a string of important debuts, including her US and role debut as Idamante in Mozart’s Idomeneo with Boston Baroque and returns to the Bayerische Staatsoper as Cherubino Le nozze di Figaro. A featured ensemble member of the Semperoper Dresden since the 2024/25 season, highlights of 2025/26 include role debuts as Prinz Orlofsky Die Fledermaus, Zerlina Don Giovanni, Kay in Abrahamsen’s The Snow Queen & Anaide in Rota’s Der Florentiner Hut, as well as returns as Stéphano Roméo et Juliette, Nicoletta The Love of Three Oranges and the title role in Hänsel und Gretel. In concert, Eickhoff appears at the Kölner Philharmonie with Thierry Mechler, as well as in numerous song recitals with Elenora Pertz, including at the Semperoper Dresden.
